Blue Jays Davis Schneider win player of the week in Triple-A
When Schneider was first sent down to Triple-A, he struggled which was normal since he probably did not expect to be sent down only a few weeks after the season starting but it looks like it was the right move to make.
However Schneider has been on fire over the last few week to the point where he has been named player of the week in Triple-A with 3 homeruns, 7 RBIs, 5 runs and 6 hits in 6 games played.
If Schneider continues to perform like this in the minors, there is a good chance the Blue Jays bring him back up soon since they need all the offensive help they can get as their biggest problem is still production.
It will be interesting to see who the Blue Jays end up optioning down to Triple-A or DFA'ing if they do end up calling up Schneider since their roster is currently full which means a roster move will be needed.
