Blue Jays Nation recently released their Toronto Blue Jays prospect rankings, and pitcher Adam Macko ranked inside the top 30 at 27th.

The prospect has had quite the journey getting to where is at but it might all finally pay off for him.

Blue Jay prospect Adam Macko makes big jump to 27th in rankings

Ryley Delaney recently covered his top prospect list on Blue Jays Nation and ranked Macko as the Blue Jays 27th best prospect
"Macko has an interesting story, as he was born in Slovakia, eventually moved to Ireland and was raised there, before joining Vauxhall Academy in Alberta, playing alongside fellow Blue Jays' prospect Damiano Palmegiani. Macko was selected in the seventh round of the 2019 draft by the Mariners. The 6'0», 170 lbs left-handed pitcher made his professional debut that same season, posting a 3.09 ERA and 3.83 FIP in 23.1 innings pitched, with a 33 K% and 11.7 BB%."-Delaney

Macko joined the Blue Jays in 2022 when he was traded for Teoscar Hernandez and acquired from the Seattle Mariners.
Since then the pitcher has shown some promise but the same issues keep arising for him over the last few seasons.
"One issue that plagued Macko early in his career (and has come back this season) is command issues, but in 2023, his BB% dropped to 10.8%. His previous lowest BB% was 11.9%."-Delaney

"The lefty split his 2024 season between the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays (rehab), the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, and the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons. Most of his season was spent in Double-A, where he had a 4.87 ERA and 3.72 FIP in 81.1 innings pitched, only missing a small portion toward the end of the season due to injury. Macko's BB% also dropped to a career-best 9%."-Delaney

He has also had to consistently battle injuries which has really hurt his chances of getting into a good rhythm, if he stays healthy we could see some of those command issues start to improve.
We could see a potential call up for Macko to the Blue Jays when the rosters expand in September.
