The Blue Jays biggest weakness this season seems to be their starting rotation which has struggled with consistency and injuries but they all seem to be starting to figure it out.
Blue Jays make incredible announcement on starting pitcher Jose Berrios
Berrios was on the mound for the Blue Jays last night in a 9-0 win over the Red Sox in which he finished with 7 innings pitched, giving up 0 earned runs, 4 hits, 1 walk and striking out 8 batters.
After the win, the Blue Jays announced that Berrios had a phenomenal month as he finished the month of June with a 1.97 ERA and over his last 15 games he currently has a 2.86 ERA.
The Blue Jays need Berrios and the rest of their starting rotation to keep pitching this way if they want to keep climbing the standings.
So far this season, Berrios has a 3.26 ERA in 102 inning pitched, a 4-3 record to go along with 89 strikeouts and a 1.21 ERA as he continues to arguably be the Blue Jays best pitcher this season.
