The Toronto Blue Jays have officially been labelled as inconsistent this season as they have some massive high followed by some very bad lows which was on full display this weekend against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Blue Jays lineup has had some really great series lately but they are always followed by a major downfall which fans saw this week as they blew away the San Diego Padres then go swept by the Rays this weekend while getting outscored 19-2.

The Blue Jays have been battling some major consistency issues lately

The Blue Jays currently have quite a few issues one the team which are causing this consistency problems, one of which involves George Springer who has been hitting under .200 over his last 30 games.
However, George Springer's performance has been a real sore spot. Springer has just seven hits in his last 50 at-bats (.140 average) with one home run and an OPS just over .500. The veteran is hitting under .200 over his last 30 games after a torrid start to the season. -Goldberg

Another player that has been brutal lately for the Blue Jays is closer Jeff Hoffman who was brilliant to start the season but in his last 15 appearances has an ERA over 8.00 which is simply horrible.
Closer Jeff Hoffman has fallen into a spiral after a brilliant start to his season. Hoffman has an ERA over eight in his last 15 appearances and has blown three of seven save opportunities in May. -Goldberg

Anthony Santander is another player who cannot seem to catch a break as he is known for starting off the season slowly but he is currently off to the worst start of his career which is unfortunate for the Blue Jays who just signed him to a $92.5 million deal.
At this rate, if the Blue Jays cannot find a way to figure out at least a few of these problems, they will certainly end up missing the playoffs for a second straight year since being .500 will not be enough.
Winning three games in a row does not matter much if they lose the following three since it puts them right back where they started.
