The Toronto Blue Jays are on fire right now but are still dealing with some starting rotation issue which is why there has been rumors that they might bring Yariel Rodriguez back to the starting rotation.
Blue Jays might look to put Yariel Rodriguez back in the starting rotation
The Blue Jays originally signed Rodriguez to be a starting pitcher but after having a rough season last year, they decided to move him to the bullpen for the 2025 season which has worked out beautifully.
Rodriguez took a bit of time to adapt to his new role as he had a 5.64 ERA on May 5th but has not not allowed a single run since that date and his ERA in now down to 2.61 with 29 strikeouts.

Rodriguez has definitely found his groove as he currently has yet to allow a single run in 16.2 innings after last game including the fastest pitch of his career which clocked in at 98.9 MPH.

Rodriguez is a very negative way which is why it does not seem like the smartest decision, hopefully management decides to stick to the current plan.
