The Toronto Blue Jays confirm injury update on pitcher Bowden Francis

The Toronto Blue Jays have announced an injury update on starting pitcher Bowden Francis who went down last week.
The Blue Jays placed Francis on IL a couple weeks ago due to a shoulder injury after he had been struggling since the first month of the season and was the Blue Jays biggest problem on the mound.

Half way through the June, the Blue Jays announced that Francis was placed on 15 day IL with a right shoulder impingement while also announcing a long list of other roster moves including Erik Swanson being DFA'd.

According to reports, Francis has now began to play catch from 60-90 feet in Florida at the Blue Jays complex after receiving a shot of cortisone for his shoulder last week.

While this means that Francis is on his way back from injury, this puts the Blue Jays in a tough spot since he was a serious problem for them before being placed on IL.
