Walker split the 2024 season between the Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates since New York designated him for assignment for July which is when the Pirates picked him up and he spent the season going up and down between the MLB and Triple-A.

According to MLB insider Ben Nicholson-Smith, the deal is a one year contract worth $760,000 which the Blue Jays have confirmed.

Last season, Walker made 10 appearances in the MLB for the Mets in which he had an ERA of 5.45 in 12.1 innings pitched.

Most fans believe this is an interesting choice to sign Walker to a major league deal when he seems to be a minor league pitcher when looking at his numbers from last season.
