The Toronto Blue Jays main concern with the trade deadline approaching is bringing in hits which is why they seem to be very interested in Chicago White Sox Luis Robert Jr.
This season has been more of the same when it comes to the Blue Jays as they are struggling once again when it comes to production at the plate which is why they need to add a slugger.

The White Sox are in the exact same boat as they were last year which is why they need to completely change things and move as many pieces as they can at the deadline this year but they unfortunately don't have a ton of players with value.
The main option that the White Sox have that could bring back a solid return is Luis Robert Jr which has the Blue Jays very interested since he could bring in some offense which they desperately need.
The White Sox really don't have a lot of attractive options on their roster other than Robert, and even he isn't looking great. While the 27-year-old is currently slashing .190/.296/.321, he leads MLB with 17 stolen bases, which would be a welcome addition to the Blue Jays' offense. -Sookram
Despite the Blue Jays current struggles as they sit around .500 on the season, they will likely be buyers at the deadline which means going after Robert could makes a lot of sense for them.
While the Blue Jays have been hovering around .500 for the better part of the last week, it's hard to imagine them not being buyers at the deadline so long as they don't bottom out fully in May and June. -Sookram
While Robert has not had a great past two seasons in Chicago, he has been on the worst team in baseball and a change of scenery might be exactly what he needs to turn things around.
This move might benefit both the Blue Jays and White Sox if they could come do a solid understanding and Toronto does not have to move too many pieces.
