The Toronto Blue Jays are apparently interested in New York Yankees for Gold Glove winner DJ LeMahieu who was just DFA'd.
The entire baseball world was shocked yesterday when the Yankees announced when the Yankees decided to release former Gold Glove winner DJ LeMahieu after he was DFA'd just a few days ago.

The Blue Jays have been looking at a few interesting options as the trade deadline approaches and it looks like there could be some real interest in LeMahieu as he is now a free agent.
The grizzled vet very well may simply want to walk away from the game after being released, but if he is looking for an opportunity, the Blue Jays could make a ton of sense. -Brauner
This would be an interesting move for the Blue Jays since they could probably get LeMahieu for a cheap contract and it could add a ton of experience to the roster heading into the playoffs.
While the Blue Jays seem to have some interest, they certainly will not be the only team calling LeMahieu so it will be interesting to see if they could beat out other teams to get a new deal done.
LeMahieu will have offers, and it will be fascinating to see whether or not Toronto is one of them. -Brauner
The Blue Jays are still without Andres Gimenez which is why bringing in LeMahieu could make a lot of sense for them right now.
So far this season LeMahieu has had a tough go with the Yankees as he currently has 2 homeruns and 12 RBIs in 45 games this season with a .266 batting average and .338 on base percentage.
While LeMahieu is clearly not the player he once was, this could still be a solid rental option for Toronto.
