The Blue Jays announced that they recently decided to part ways with two of their shortstop prospects as both Lojewski and Arnold have been released into free agency.
The Toronto Blue Jays released the following players:
SS Bryce Arnold
SS Jacob Lojewski
Sorry to see the Blue Jays let Hamilton's Bryce Arnold go today.
Lojewski split the season between Dunedin and Vancouver where he put up 1 homerun, 10 RBIs, a .178 batting average and .239 on base percentage in 30 games this season which is why the move was not too surprising.

Arnold on the other hand also split his time between Dunedin and Vancouver but put up decent numbers with 11 homeruns, 44 RBIs, a .235 batting average and .358 on base percentage which is why the move was a bit more shocking.
Both players are very young and will likely be able to find themselves new contracts but it might wait until the off-season since teams are making a final push for the playoffs right now.
There have not been many details announced as to why the Blue Jays decided to make this moves this late in the season but it was likely to clear up roster spots.
