The Toronto Blue Jays are still far from where the want to be this season which is why many have them closing a blockbuster trade sooner than later involving Bo Bichette as he is in the final year of his deal.

The Blue Jays have been trying to figure out what to do with Bichette for quite some time but as the quarter mark of the season just passed, the chances of them re-signing him seem to be very slim.

Brewers and Blue Jays looking to close blockbuster trade for Bo Bichette

The Brewers currently have Joey Ortiz at shortstop but it looks like there is a good chance thy will not be able to extend him which is why many believe that they will go after Bichette.
If Ortiz doesn't come around by the trade deadline, and if the Brewers are firmly in the playoff hunt, perhaps Milwaukee could hit the rental bat market for an upgrade at shortstop that would give them a better shot at finally winning a playoff series. -Roberts

According to multiple reports, the Brewers would be very interested in bringing in Bichette as a rental at the trade deadline and would consider signing him to an extension depending on how he plays.
On Wednesday, Athlon's Dave Gasper named Toronto Blue Jays two-time All-Star shortstop Bo Bichette as a potential pickup for the Brewers ahead of the Jul. 31 trade deadline. -Roberts

"This would be a dream target for the Brewers to get to spark their offense, but they'll have to wait a little bit longer for it to potentially become a reality. The Blue Jays are going for it in Bichette's last year and they've signed Vlad Guerrero Jr to an extension," Gasper wrote.

Most fans are surprised that the Blue Jays have no interest in keeping Bichette since he has been such a massive part of the team for many years now but since they have yet to engage in contract talks, it does not look like they are interested.
If they do end up trading him at the deadline, they will likely not get a massive return since he would only have a few months left on his contract.
