The Toronto Blue Jays announced that yesterday some brutal news when it comes to pitcher Max Scherzer as he has had another set back in his recovery process.

Scherzer has been out since his first start of the season on Opening weekend against the Baltimore Orioles due to a thumb issue that he has had since last season and seems to be getting back to pitching very slowly.

The Blue Jays announced that Scherzer had another setback in his recovery process yesterday

The Blue Jays have stated that they are hoping that Scherzer would be back soon as he has strated throwing and pitching again but things seem to have taken a turn for the worse as another old injury appeared.
According to Hazel Mae, Scherzer was playing catch yesterday and felt a tightness in his back similar to the back problems he had back in 2019 which would be his second past injury that iis creeping up again.
Max Scherzer played catch today. Told me &
@shidavidi
he felt some back tightness after throwing his live, similar to what he felt in 2019.

Will throw off a mound tomorrow and see how he feels.
Said it's a «weird» thing because he doesn't feel it throwing just in the recovery.

The Blue Jays cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to injured pitcher as they announced yesterday that pitcher prospect Jake Bloss suffered an injury and will now need surgery on his UCL.
As the Blue Jays officially hit the quarter mark on the season, it is hard to see that they will get much use out of their $15.5 million pitcher as he does not seem to be coming back anytime soon.
Hopefully this latest injury is a minor setback but it certainly does not seem that way.
