The Blue Jays announced injury update regarding pitcher Nick Sandlin
Toronto's pitcher cannot seem to stay healthy this season as they already had Erik Swanson, Ryan Burr and Max Scherzer on IL before Sandlin got injured a few days ago.
Hazel Mae announced that the Blue Jays gave Sandlin a PRP shot in hopes of speeding up his recovery while Erik Swanson will be throwing from the bullpen today and live batting practice.
Injury Updates: *Nick Sandlin (lat strain): Set to receive PRP injection tomorrow in Toronto. Hope to speed up the recovery process. *Erik Swanson (forearm) will throw pen tomorrow after his live BP/sim game "just to get on mound before facing hitters again." Then, rehab games
The good news in all of this is that hopefully Swanson will be making his return soon to the bullpen but it certainly does not look too good right now as the only pitcher that seems to be reliable in the bullpen in Jeff Hoffman.
Hopefully the PRP injections will truly help Sandlin as he was off to a solid start to the season and they need him back in the lineup as soon as possible.
