The Blue Jays had Guerrero take x-rays right away and it looks like the results have already come back negative for a fracture which is big positive for Toronto.
UPDATE: 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was removed from today's game with a right forearm contusion.
He underwent x-rays which came back negative for a fracture.
After the game, manager John Schneider told reporters that they debated keeping Guerrero in the game but since he could not grip a bat properly they took him out but they think it should not be too serious.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider says Vladimir Guerrero Jr was lobbying to stay in Thursday's game but wasn't able to squeeze a bat as firmly as he typically does:
«We'll see how he is tomorrow. It's a forearm contusion. Just wanted him to be careful with his grip strength.»
The Blue Jays cannot catch a break when it comes to injuries this season so hopefully this is nothing serious for Guerrero who has been able to stay healthy this season.
