Blue Jays announce the results on Daulton Varsho's MRI
The Blue Jays have been waiting for Varsho to make his return and just when they thought he would soon be back, he seemed to have quite the setback with his injury.
The team announced that they had Varsho take an MRI in which everything came back fine, there was nothing new according to John Schneider adding that it was probably scar tissue irritation.
Daulton Varsho underwent a precautionary MRI last night after experiencing tightness in his left hamstring while running "and everything was fine," said Blue Jays manager John Schneider. "Nothing new, nothing crazy. Probably just a little bit of scar tissue irritation."
Varsho did run slightly yesterday while also taking live batting practice and throwing which means that despite this setback, he might actually be back sooner than expected.
Varsho did some running in the outfield today - along with hitting live and throwing - and will return to running the bases in the next few days, Schneider added.
"It probably just set him back a day or so," he said.
Hopefully Schneider is right and it is nothing serious but that it just hard to believe since if he was not in that much pain they would not have had him take an MRI.
Varsho is a key piece to the Blue Jays outfield and even if they have been playing well without him, it should make a big difference getting him back.
