The Toronto Blue Jays announced earlier today that outfielder Anthony Santander has been placed on IL and the results from his MRI has now come in.

The Blue Jays announced today that Anthony Santander was headed to IL but it looks like that is a result of an MRI he had last night that has been bothering him for some time now.
Blue Jays have placed OF Anthony Santander on IL (left shoulder inflammation), and have called up OF Alan Roden, per team.
According to reports, the Blue Jays are now trying to determine the course of action for his rehab but it looks like there is a good chance that he ends up getting a shot of cortisone in the coming days.
Anthony Santander, who went on the IL today, had an MRI on his left shoulder last night.
Blue Jays still determining what his treatment and rehab plan will look like. Possibility he gets a cortisone shot in the coming days.
Fans are hoping that
Santander will be able to benefit from this time off to reset himself as he was off to a horrendous start to the season with .179 batting average on the season so far.
The Blue Jays have placed Anthony Santander on the 10-Day injured list.
Santander is hitting .179 this season with an OPS of .577 with 6 HR and 18 RBI.
Hopefully Santander will be able to fully heal his injury and return to the lineup in full health and ready to play at the level he is expected to.
