Toronto Blue Jays announce roster move ahead of Yankees game

The Toronto Blue Jays announce a couple roster moves ahead of the start of their series against the New York Yankees involving Braydon Fisher and Dillon Tate.
The Blue Jays recently called up Tate for the first time this season earlier this week as they placed relief pitcher Nick Sandlin on 60 day IL.

Toronto takes on the Yankees tonight in New York and ahead of the first game announced that they are optioning Tate back to Buffalo as they are calling up Fisher.

This is big for the Blue Jays as most were surprised when he was optioned in late August to make room for Shane Bieber who was returning from Tommy John surgery.

Fisher has been very solid and consistent for the Blue Jays bullpen this season as he currently has a 3.03 ERA in 38.2 innings pitched with a total of 50 strikeouts which is why many were surprised he was moved in the first place.
Tate on the other hand has been great in Triple-A and despite decent numbers with the Blue Jays over the last week he has been sent down to make room for Fisher.
So far this season, Tate has pitched 6.1 innings for the Blue Jays with a 4.26 ERA which includes 8 strikeouts and a 2.21 WHIP.
