The Toronto Blue Jays decided to surprisingly push back their home opener against the Athletics for next season.
The Blue Jays announced their 2026 schedule back in late August with the season opener taking place on March 26 at the Rogers Centre against the Athletics.

The 2026 season is still quite some time away but it looks like Blue Jays fans will now have to wait an extra day to see their team back on the field as home opener is pushed back.
The Blue Jays were supposed to start their season on March 26th against the Athletics but it has now been moved to March 27th at 7:07 PM.
The Blue Jays have pushed their 2026 season and home opener against the Athletics back one day to Friday, March 27 at 7pm ET.

The team also announced that game times will remain the same for next season with week night games at 7:07 PM, Saturdays at 3:07 PM and Sundays at 1:37 PM.

The Blue Jays will kick off their 2026 season with 6 home games against the Athletics and Colorado Rockies before they hit the road for their series against the Chicago White Sox.
No changes have been made to the Spring Training schedule as that is still set to kick off against the Philadelphia Phillies on February 21st.
