George Springer and Shane Bieber set to return to the lineup this weekend
Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to the media this afternoon and announced that he will DH with the Bisons once again tonight and will be activated for tomorrow game against the Texas Rangers.
George Springer will DH again tonight at triple-A Buffalo and barring the unexpected will be active with Blue Jays tomorrow, said Blue Jays manager John Schneider.
As for
Bieber, he will be starting for the Bisons tonight and if everything goes to plan he will be joining the Blue Jays starting rotation over the weekend as he will travel to Toronto with Springer.
The hope for Blue Jays is that Shane Bieber will be able to join the big-league rotation after tonight's triple-A rehab start. He's slated to return to Toronto with George Springer after tonight's game in Buffalo.
Both of these updates are huge for the Blue Jays as they will be getting one of their top player's back in Springer and fans will finally get to see Bieber pitch for the first time in over a year.
The Blue Jays still lead the American League East and have been playing very well despite all of their injuries but adding two players of this caliber to the lineup will only help.
The team will now have to decide who they will move to make room on their roster for Bieber and Springer.
