Toronto Blue Jays Anthony Santander makes questionable comments regarding his current injuries

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander has been off to the worst start of his career and he recently spoke on his current injuries making some strange comments.
As of right now, Santander's new contract is regarded as one of the worst deals in the MLB since they paid him to be a 30+ homerun player and this season he is nowhere near that.

Santander has been dealing with some shoulder and hip issues over the last couple weeks which even kept him sidelined for a few games but lately he has been playing through it.
According to recent interview, Santander believes that his current injuries are helping him limit his big swings and focus more on contact but insider Keegan Matheson quickly pointed out that is simply not his game.

The Blue Jays looked like they made some great moves this off-season with bring in Santander, Max Scherzer and Andres Gimenez but as of right now it is not looking too good with two of them injured and Santander struggling.
The Blue Jays have gotten a combined -0.5 fWAR from offseason additions Max Scherzer, Anthony Santander, and Andres Gimenez so far this season.
Having Santander speak on changing his game to try for more contact instead of power is proof on how poorly he is doing this season.
Clearly some big changes are needed but having him switch on why they brought him in does not seem like the right move.
