Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk has been surpassing expectations by a long shot this season yet receive a disrespectful ranking by Bleacher Report.
Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk disrespect is recent Bleacher Report rankings
In a recent post, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuters ranked the 10 best catchers in the MLB so far this season and gave Kirk an underwhelming 10th ranking which many found strange.
Taking a look at MLB's top catchers so far
Seattle Mariner catcher Cal Raleigh is the clear number one catcher in baseball right now with the season he is having but there is no way that Kirk should be ranked that low as he deserves to be in the top 5 with the numbers he is putting up at the very least.
Even the Blue Jays official account replied to the post stating that Kirk was given the wrong rank once again.
Wrong, rank again
Kirk has been incredible behind the plate this season but he has also been one of the best hitters on the team and in the league as of lately with a .385 batting average and 40 hits in his last 30 games.
Living inside the Blue Jays bubble, it's no secret that Kirk not only has been one of the hottest hitting catchers as of late, but he's been one of the hottest hitters in MLB, period. This list only shows how Kirk is flying under the radar this season in other baseball realms outside of Toronto. -Hunter
Even with this disrespectful ranking, Kirk does not seem to be too bothered as he continues to dominate.
