The Toronto Blue Jays just officialized their contract with pitcher Tyler Rogers and have announced a corresponding move to clear up roster space.
A couple days ago the Blue Jays announced that they reached an agreement with Rogers on a 3 year deal worth $37 million which will pay Rogers an average salary of $12.3 million per season.
Due to limited roster place with all of their new additions, the Blue Jays were forced to make a move.

The decision to DFA Bruihl does not come as a huge surprise as he spent the majority of the season bouncing up and down between the minors and majors. Bruihl finished the season with a 5.27 ERA in 13.2 innings pitched.
Despite being DFA'd, there is a chance that Bruihl does clear waivers and remains in Toronto but it all depends on the next few days.
