The Toronto Blue Jays are fighting for their lives in the ALCS down 0-2, but assistant GM James Click already has next year in mind, as reports suggest he is interviewing for the vacant Colorado Rockies general manager position.

Toronto Blue Jays assistant GM has eyes on new job rather than the ALCS.

Adam Laskaris of the Daily Hive reported on the rumours of James Click looking to move on to bigger and better things at the end of this season.
"According to The Athletic's Brittany Ghiroli, Blue Jays assistant GM James Click has interviewed for the Colorado Rockies' vacant general manager role, formerly occupied by Bill Schmidt. Ghiroli reported that Click was one of at least three candidates interviewed for the role, along with Kansas City Royals assistant GM Scott Sharp and Cleveland Guardians assistant GM Matt Forman."-Laskaris

James Click already has years of experience as a MLB GM, leading the Astros to a World Series championship.
However, he did not renew his contract with the team, his time as GM saw the Astros have a 230-154 record which proves he could be a great hire for another team.
"Unless Click gets a promotion in Toronto, it always seemed likely that his stint with the Blue Jays would be a transitional one until a bigger role opened up elsewhere. Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins is in his fourth year of a five-year deal that is set to expire after 2026. All indications seem to show that he'll be back for one more season at the very least."-Laskaris

There isn't much the front office can do during the postseason but watch the team they put together and hope it all works out.
While this is not a big problem, it can still prove to be a distraction for the team that their head office is going to change at the end of this season.
There will be more clarity about the head office situation after the postseason has concluded.
