Toronto Blue Jays George Springer irate at umpire's call against the Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer was more heated than ever seen last night during the loss to the Boston Red Sox.
The MLB announced yesterday that starting in 2026 they will moving to a ABS system which will certainly be good as it will avoid problems such as this.
Blue Jays George Springer loses it on umpire against the Red Sox
During last night's gae against the Red Sox, Springer hit a ground ball that was clearly fair but ended up being called a foul which had everyone in disbelief including him and manager John Schneider.
George Springer is as heated as I've seen him all season... And he's still going in the dugout.
He has every right to be, too. That clearly looked like a fair ball down the third-base line, which would have scored at least two runs. #BlueJays

Not only was the call on the hit terrible but Springer then went back to the plate and ended up striking out on a pitch that was clearly a ball which had him completely losing it.
George Springer was absolutely IRATE after his grounder down the line was called foul and then struck out on a ball off the plate on the next pitch
You quite literally will never see George Springer this negatively animated
Fans online could not believe the back to back terrible calls by the umpire as this is the second time in just a few days that the Blue Jays deal with terrible calls after Daulton Varsho made a beautiful diving catch that was called a hit against the Royals.
Hopefully these changes the MLB will implement next season will at least help fix these issues with the strike zone but bad calls when it comes to hits will still be up the umpires.
