The Toronto Blue Jays clinched the first spot in the playoffs in the American League today but during the game replayed showed outfielder Daulton Varsho getting robbed of a beautiful play.

After the win this afternoon, Vladimir Guerrero Jr went viral online after video was posted of him partying in the locker room after the win with his teammates pouring beer all over him.

Daulton Varsho robbed of a great catch in Blue Jays win

In the fifth inning of today's win, Varsho made an unbelievable diving catch to stop a hit by Bobby Witt Jr that unfortunately did not stand.
Maybe the most ridiculous decision after a video review that I've seen in pro sports. How is that not a catch by Blue Jays CF Daulton Varsho,

Clips of the play were all over social media proving that Varsho clearly made the catch and that the umpires should have never called that a hit.
Here's a closer look at the Daulton Varsho-Bobby Witt Jr. play that was ruled a hit and upheld by video review.

It appears - very clearly - that Varsho, in fact, caught the baseball and it never made contact with the outfield grass.
Varsho could not believe that the play was reviewed and that they stuck with the call that it was in fact a hit when it clearly never touched the grass.
Thankfully for the Blue Jays they were in lead 6-2 at that point and were able to hold onto the win and clinch the playoff spot while avoiding the sweep to the Royals.
Things would have played out a lot differently in regards to this play if the Blue Jays ended up losing the game.
