The Toronto Blue Jays have some big expectations for Anthony Santander for next season and it looks like he is progressing well.
There were some rumours throughout the off-season that the Blue Jays would look to move Santander after this past season but it seems more likely that they will end up keeping him.
Anthony Santander seems to be recording well
Santander missed a big portion of the season and in the games he did play was a fraction of the player he was for the Baltimore Orioles in 2024.
At the end of the year Santander ended up getting shut down due to a couple injuries but it looks like his recovery is going well as he posted an update online and he looks to be doing well.
"That changes next year. Similar to Harper, Santander will return to form and I say he cranks out more homers than Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to lead the team." -David Singh
This is quite the prediction from Singh but at the same time, Santander is certainly capable of being that type of player as he finished with 44 home runs in 2024 and had 3 seasons in a row of more than 25 home runs.
Fans are hoping that this will be the case for Santander next season since it would be huge for the Blue Jays offense but that will be a big hill for him to climb after how poorly 2025 went for him.
