Toronto Blue Jays and Kyle Tucker talk spiked when Jesse Rogers of ESPN announced a long term offer is on the table.

Rogers, speaking on Sportsnet 590, is being cited as saying Toronto has a long-term proposal in front of Tucker's camp. That lines up with the broader ESPN framing that the Jays are positioned to win any long-money fight.
"Tucker, who turns 29 on Saturday, continues to field offers after he declined a $22.025 million qualifying offer by the Chicago Cubs following the season. Sources told ESPN that the Toronto Blue Jays have also made a long-term offer to Tucker, who is one of the best left-handed hitters in the league." -Jesse Rogers

Toronto wants a left-handed thump that also brings real outfield defense which is why Tucker is such a great fit. Add him to a core featuring Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and the lineup suddenly has fewer soft spots.

The Mets also made an offer to Tucker today which apparently sits between $120-$130 million over 3 season.
The chatter really took off Tuesday when a fan post pointed directly at the Rogers mention and called it an «official» offer.
Jays have long term offer officially on the table for Tucker, per Jesse Rogers/ESPN:
Tucker turns 29 before Opening Day, and he was the Houston Astros' fifth overall pick in 2015, which is a nice reminder that the pedigree has always been there. You're not dreaming on tools, you're paying for a finished player.
From 2018 through 2024 with Houston, Tucker hit .274 with 125 home runs, 94 stolen bases, and an .870 OPS across 633 games. Baseball-Reference lists that same Astros line, which is the kind of all-around résumé that just does not hit the market often.
If Toronto truly has a long-term offer sitting there, the next milestone is simple, get Tucker back in the building and finish it before this turns into a three-team sprint. Until then, it's still a big-name rumor, but it's one that keeps getting louder.
