The Toronto Blue Jays have struggled with power hitting over the past couple of seasons, and that issue clearly hasn't improved so far in 2025.
Despite Toronto's lack of homers, Blue Jays' manager John Schneider has no concern for his team's lack of power early on in the season.
Through 23 games, Toronto has hit only 12 home runs, ranking 29th in the MLB. The offense has also struggled, with just 86 runs scored so far this season.
«I think that that evens out over time. I don't think there's any reason to panic that it's not here now. That will come and I think it will come fairly quickly." -Schneider
Cole Shelton from The Sporting News writes that Toronto dropped two-of-three to Seattle over the weekend and
Schneider believes the Blue Jays are simply missing the big hit to get to that next level.
«You're missing the big hit. That's what the missing piece was this series.» -Schneider
In their last series against Seattle, Toronto failed to hit a single home run and was outscored 17-8 over the three games, despite winning the opening game 3-1.
The Blue Jays will look to bounce back on Tuesday following a 7-0 blowout loss on Monday to the Astros.
