Toronto Blue Jays John Schneider makes outrageous remarks on Bowden Francis after another loss

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Bowden Francis was on the mound yesterday against the Philadelphia Phillies for another loss and manager John Schneider made some outrageous comments regarding him after the game.
Francis has been the Blue Jays weakest link this season by a long shot as their starting rotation has been playing quite well but it seems like every Francis start ends up in a loss.

The Blue Jays took on the Phillies yesterday with Francis on the mound again and despite a solid start, things quickly got out of hand as Francis only lasted 3.5 innings before being pulled.
Francis was doing decently but then in the third inning walked back to back hitters then walked a player with the bases loaded then hit the next batter with the bases loaded and was finally pulled.
Bowden Francis just lost it here in the fourth inning in Philadelphia. With two outs, he went:

• Hit batter
• Bases-loaded walk
• Bases-loaded hit batter.

After the game, the media asked Schneider if he wants to continue to keep Francis in the MLB as he works on his game which he shockingly stated yes because the team needs him and he will build off that outing.
Asked John Schneider if he wants to see Bowden Francis continue to work at this at the MLB level:
«Yeah. I think we need him. He's working his a** off with Pete. I think he's going to take what he did before the walks in the fourth inning and build off of it.» #BlueJays

This is a completely outrageous remark from Schneider to state that the Blue Jays need him because he has been the biggest problem lately during this hot streak.
It does not make sense for the Blue Jays to keep him in the lineup if he continues to pitch this poorly.
