The Blue Jays have a had a lot fo consitency issues this season when it comes to their pitchers and Berrios is no exception which is what has landed him in the bullpen.
During a recent interview, he told reporters that he has been tapping into his time as a relief pitcher her during the World Baseball Classic in 2017.
Jose Berrios is leaning on his 2017 WBC days to help with the transition to the pen.

He said the news he was being moved was «tough» to hear but understood why.

«I think the guys starting right now.. they're pitching better than me.»
Berrios also added that when it comes to the starting rotation, the news was rough when he was moved but ultimately understood since the other pitchers are playing better than he was.
On the other hand, Max Scherzer has been having a very difficult time lately and there might be a chance that he is removed from the rotation.
Since Berrios has gone down with an injury, if they do move Scherzer it will likely be Eric Lauer who is called back to the starting rotation.
