The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to improve their team this off-season while also trying to save money which is why they are looking at players such as Shane Bieber, Max Kepler and Kendall Graveman who are looking to have bounce back years.

The Blue Jays need to make some changes to their roster if they want to improve and since they do not plan on spending much more money than they did last year, they will need to think outside the box when it comes to bringing in free agents.

Blue Jays look looking at a few free agents aiming for a bounce back season

Since the Blue Jays do not plan on increasing their payroll much from the 2024 season they will need to look at free agents that would sign bargain deals which often involves players coming off a down year.
The first player in Twins outfielder Max Kepler who is coming off a huge down year with only 8 homeruns and 42 RBIs but has proven in the past that he can be a solid hitter, in 2019 he had 36 homeruns and had 24 homeruns in 2023.
The Blue Jays have long been linked to long-time Twins outfielder Max Kepler and this may be the perfect time to add him to the squad. The 31-year-old has been a steadying presence in the Twin Cities since 2016 when he broke out with 17 home runs in his first taste of extended playing time in the majors. -Wallace

Another option is Shane Bieber who is coming off a down year as well due to a long list of injuries over the last two season which resulted in him only getting 23 starts in 2 years. Bieber is a great option for the Blue Jays since he would not cost much and could return to one of the best pitchers in the MLB if he stays healthy.
If you told Jays' fans a couple of years ago that Shane Bieber could be signed to a value deal in his first dip into free-agency waters, they might've called you crazy. After all, the 29-year-old had been one of the most consistent pitchers in the American League since 2019 before injuries limited him to just 23 starts over the past two seasons. -Wallace

Finally there is relief pitcher Kendall Graveman who missed the 2024 season due to surgery but prior to that was an incredible relief pitcher with an ERA of 2.74 between 2021-2023.
The 33-year-old underwent right shoulder surgery last January which caused him to miss the 2024 season. Time on the shelf may hurt his market but Toronto should jump at the chance to add this righty stud to the bullpen. From 2021-2023, Graveman went 13-11 with a 2.74 ERA (154 ERA+) with 24 saves in 187.1 innings pitched. -Wallace
