The Atlanta Braves may be off to a sluggish start, but that doesn't mean they're ready to give up on the season. Still, it also doesn't rule out the possibility of them moving a high-priced slugger at the trade deadline.
The Toronto Blue Jays may be eyeing a trade that would land them Atlanta Braves slugger Marcell Ozuna.
Aaliyan Mohammed from The Sporting News writes that with Ronald Acuņa Jr. expected to return, the Braves will likely aim to make a playoff push and turn their season around. Even if they don't become sellers at the trade deadline, they might still move Marcell Ozuna, who's in the final year of his contract.
"If the Braves are making a push for the postseason and are in the middle of the pack near the deadline, they may not make any blockbuster additions. However, moving Ozuna is a move that they may simply have to make. If there's a chance they miss the postseason at all, the Braves would be wise to get something out of Ozuna before he hits the open market." -Mohammed

Braves receive: right-handed pitcher Chad Green and outfielder Alan Roden
Blue Jays receive: outfielder/designated hitter Marcell Ozuna
Marcell Ozuna is performing well for the Braves, and the team's season is far from a write-off. That said, Atlanta will need to tread carefully at the trade deadline.
"Trading Ozuna is a move that falls in the sweet spot. The Braves would be getting a player they can use right away while also benefiting their future." -Mohammed
The three-time All-Star will definitely be a name to watch as the summer heats up. Ozuna offers serious power at the plate and could be a valuable rental for any contender looking to bolster their lineup down the stretch.
