Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider loses it on the umpire
The Toronto Blue Jays took on the Baltimore Orioles last night and an interesting moment took place in the first inning as manager John Schneider snapped on the umpire.
The Blue Jays came into the game looking to bounce back from a horrendous loss on Opening Day in which they gave up 12 runs in a 12-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

During the first inning of Friday night's game things got heated rather quickly as Schneider went after the home plate umpire after making a terrible call rather early in the game.
Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez was at the plate when he called on a strike for a half swing which Schneider did not agree with as he came out of the dugout challenging the call.
"How the f- are you gonna call that?" Schneider asked.
It's a common protest, with players and managers wanting at least for the standard appeal process to the base umpire down the line.
But here, there was no such appeal, and Schneider was quite baffled. -Heyen

The funny part in all of this is that Gimenez was also shocked by the call and argued it but for a different reason as he claimed that the pitch actually hit him which the umpire did not agree with.
Gimenez argued that the ball hit him, but Schneider had a different point to make when he hustled out of the dugout. -Heyen
Despite both Gimenez and Schneider not agreeing with the call the ruling on the field stuck as a strike which the Blue Jays were not happy about.
The good part in all of this is that Schneider is coming to the defense of his players and bad calls in game 2 of 162 which shows that every game to him matters this season which did not seem to always be the case in the past.
