The Toronto Blue Jays are far from where they wanted to be at the start of the season as they currently sit at .500 which is why it is believed that manager John Schneider does not have much time left.

The Blue Jays won yesterday against the Padres 14-0 which gave them their first series win in quite some time and brought them back to .500 but after signing a few players to some major deals this season, they are expected to be doing a lot better.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider expected to be the next manager that is fired

The Blue Jays have failed to do anything significant since Schneider was brought in to replace Charlie Montoyo as they have not won a single playoff series in almost a decade despite despite making the playoffs a number of times.
MLB insider Ken Rosenthal recently stated that after the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles and Colorado Rockies have all fired their managers this season, Schneider seems to be the next one to go.
MLB insider Ken Rosenthal was asked who the next manager to be fired would be on the Fair Territory podcast, and Rosenthal responded with John Schneider of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays are not performing as poorly as the three teams that have already fired their manager this season (Pirates, Rockies, Orioles), but if the situation progresses, Rosenthal might have a case. -Mulholland

The Blue Jays season has been underwhelming to say the least which is why Schneider seems to be on the hot seat but at the same time changing managers might not fix this problem.
It has been an underwhelming beginning for the Blue Jays and with a talented roster gaining the additions of Max Scherzer and Anthony Santander in the winter expectations were October bound for the great white north.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was extended to stay in Toronto for the long haul and Schneider is being given the pieces to succeed. -Mulholland

If Schneider is fired, this will be the third manager that Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro fire yet have yet to do anything significant with this team in almost 10 years which shows that they might be the problem.
Toronto might need to clean house fully and bring in a new set of eyes in the front office if they want to see a real change.
