The Toronto Blue Jays had a phenomenal 2025 season but are looking to build an even stronger roster for next season and have been named in blockbuster trade offer with the Cleveland Guardians.

The Blue Jays top priority this winter will be trying to re-sign Bo Bichette to a contract extension but they also have a lot of other priorities and wholes to fill across their lineup.

Blue Jays and Guardians linked in blockbuster trade

The Blue Jays are trying to improve this off-season as they do every year but have a real chance at attracting some big time names this winter due to their World Series appearance in 2025.
Zachary D. Rymer from Bleacher Report just stated that the Blue Jays could look at a blockbuster trade with the Guardians in exchange for Jose Ramirez but would have to give up quite a bit in exchange.
Rymer stated that if the Blue Jays traded for Ramirez, they would need to send Andres Gimenez, Jojo Parker and Arjun Nimmala back to Cleveland.
Blue Jays get 3B José Ramirez; Guardians get 3B/OF Addison Barger, SS JoJo Parker (Blue Jays No. 2), SS Arjun Nimmala (Blue Jays No. 3) -Rymer

The Blue Jays have a history with the Guardians over the last few years as they have completed a few trades and have also tried to trade for Ramirez in the past.
The Blue Jays reportedly attempted to trade for Ramirez in 2022. They have gone on to bigger and better things since then, but they'll need to make splashes this winter if they want to maximize their odds of defending their AL pennant. -Rymer

Ramirez has been one of the most consistent hitters in baseball over the last few years as he has finished with 30 home runs, 85 RBIs and a .283 batting average in 158 games this past season.
Adding Ramirez to the Blue Jays offense can be a massive step in the right direction for Toronto for next season.
