Toronto Blue Jays newest addition Jeff Hoffman takes a shot at the Orioles and discusses his new role
Toronto Bleu Jays pitcher Jeff Hoffman finally spoke to the media today taking shots at the Baltimore Orioles and touching on what his role will be with the Blue Jays this season.
News came out last week that the Orioles had a deal in place with Hoff for $40 million but ended up pulling the offer after his physical showed that his pitching shoulder had issues.

During a conference call earlier today, Hoffman told the media that he is very attracted to idea of closing games for the Blue Jays next season since they no longer have a closer.

Hoffman added that he is meant to close games as he loves the the chaos it comes with as it bring him comfort.
The Blue Jays newly signed pitcher also spoke of how he will have a little extra motivation when playing the Orioles this season, stating that they have been added to his list.
Now, Hoffman's excited to pitch for Blue Jays, who showed interest early. And he wants to face Orioles. «We can add them to the list for sure.»
Hoffman added that he was «indifferent on» starting or closing, open to either. «It tested us,» he said of this past week.

Hoffman will not have to wait too long to face them since the Blue Jays kick off their season on quick off their season with a series against them starting on March 27th.
Making Hoffman the Blue Jays closer this season seems like a no-brainer but there is a chance that management decides to use him in a different way.
