Toronto Blue Jays opponent for the ALCS finally decided
The Toronto Blue Jays have been waiting on their opponent for the ALCS for a couple days now as game 5 between the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners took place this evening with the winner moving on.
The Blue Jays shocked the MLB when they took down the New York Yankees in the ALDS and were the first American League to move onto the championship series.
Blue Jays will now be facing the Seattle Mariners in the ALCS
The game ended up going into extra innings as both teams put up an incredible fight with some impressive performances put out for both teams.
In the fourth inning, Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh was seen making a nearly perfect throw to second base to pick off the Tigers runners.

Meanwhile the Tigers had Tarik Skubal on the mound who ended up pitching a total of 6 innings while striking out a total of 13 batters and only giving up 2 hits and 1 earned run.

The Blue Jays will now face the Mariners on Sunday night to kick off the ALCS and will have a bit of an advantage with a couple more days rest than Seattle plus the fact that this game 5 went into extra innings helps as well.
