The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has been having a really tough time so far this year and it does not help that Yimi Garcia has not been playing up to his full potential lately.

The Blue Jays main relief pitcher has been Jeff Hoffman which is no surprise but many thought that others such as Garcia would be delivering more than they currently are.

Blue Jays reliever Yimi Garcia continues to struggle

The Blue Jays bullpen has been dealing with a ton of injuries so far this season and now with their current pitchers under delivering, it has not been a pretty sight over the last few games.
One of the biggest surprises is Garcia who has been struggling a lot lately as he currently has a blown to leads over his last couple starts and has seen his ERA jump up to 3.94.
Over his last three appearances, Garcia has blown two leads, taken two losses and inflated his ERA from zero to 3.94. Over two innings in three looks this week, the 34-year-old has allowed four hits, seven earned runs, one home run and five walks adding up to a 31.50 ERA. The 16 batters he has faced are seeing Garcia well, with a .400/.600/.700 slash line. -Rice

Last season the Blue Jays traded away Garcia at the trade deadline but ended up bringing him back in free agency on a two year deal worth $15 million since they knew he would be a pitcher they can rely on late in games.
After being shipped to the Mariners at last year's trade deadline, Garcia chose to re-sign with the Blue Jays on a two-year, $15 million deal just less than a month before Toronto brought in Jeff Hoffman to be the team's closer. -Rice

Garcia was off to a terrific start early on in the season but has since started to regress which has caused some concern but it is still early enough that he could turn his season around.
The problem is that the Blue Jays need him at the top of his game right now if they want to begin to climb the standings once again and need him to be more reliable down the stretch.
