Toronto Blue Jays prospect outfielder Steward Berroa will likely not be back with the team next season as there are a ton of players ahead of him on the depth charts for outfielders.

Berroa had a solid 2024 season in Triple-A as he finished the year with a .281 batting average to go along with 10 homeruns and 34 stolen bases but his time with the Blue Jays was much less eventful.
Berroa, 25, came up to the big leagues when the Blue Jays needed a body and there was no high-minors depth left. In Triple-A this year, he hit .281 with an .825 OPS, 10 home runs and 34 stolen bases in 42 tries. -Treuden

The chances of slim for outfielder Steward Berroa to return to the Blue Jays roster next season

The young outfielder did not spend much time in Toronto and while he was up in the majors, failed to demonstrate that he belongs, making 28 appearances and 37 at the plate with only 7 hits for a .189 batting average.
Berroa's time in the big leagues was brief and uneventful. He made 28 appearances but had just 37 official at-bats, going 7-for-37 (.189) along the way with just one extra-base hit, one RBI, six steals in eight tries and an OPS+ that dipped down to 63, which is 37 percent below league-average. -Treuden

The Blue Jays are technically looking to possibly bring in an outfielder in free agency and even if they don't Berroa's chances are slim since he has to outplay Jonatan Clase, Joey Loperfido and Nathan Lukes in Spring Training if he wants a true shot at the outfield in 2025.
He's going to be competing with the likes of Joey Loperfido, Nathan Lukes and Jonatan Clase in 2025 spring training, but he doesn't seem to have leg up on the competition in any way. -Treuden

If Berroa is not able to surpass those players on the depth chart, he chances of growing within the organization are slim since even in Triple-A he will not the first option in the outfield which means he might ask the team to trade him.
