Toronto Blue Jays sign 6'6 left handed pitcher

The Blue Jays have had an extremely busy last few days as they have signed multiple players and even completed a trade with the Tigers for another reliever.

The Blue Jays announced that they agreed to a minor league deal with Hurkmans, a 17 year old left handed pitcher from the Netherlands.

Hurkmans was not the only Dutch pitcher to be signed yesterday as the New York Yankees also signed Tijn Fredrikze to a minor league deal.

There is not a lot known about Hurkmans apart from that he is 17 years old, stands at 6'6 and weighs 194 pounds.

This is a very interesting signing by the Blue Jays as they are bringing in a completely unknown pitcher into their organization but they seem to have faith that this young pitcher could turn into a solid player down the road.

The Blue Jays have made some big moves over the last couple of days but it looks like they are not done just yet as more minor league moves are expected to happen plus hopefully at least one to two massive signings.

As the holidays rapidly approach, Toronto might look to make a big push to get a few more deals done.
