Prior to the Toronto Blue Jays disaster of a game against the Boston Red Sox yesterday, starting pitcher Kevin Gausman made a very strange post on social media.

Gausman has been feeling good lately after coming off an incredible last start against the Cleveland Guardians as he pitched 8 scoreless innings and moved up on the Blue Jays all-time strikeout list.

Yesterday morning, Gausman decided to get online and ask the fans following if anyone in Toronto knew someone that could get a flamethrower for Gausman with absolutely zero other context.
Looking for a flamethrower. Anyone in Toronto know anyone?
Blue Jays fans started flooding the replies making as sorts of jokes, stating that Gausman already has one attached to his arm or joking if they should be concerned about the post.
try looking in your nearest mirror
Super-soaker (preferably battery powered) + gasoline + stick/pole + lighter + tape.

Safety not guaranteed.
should we be concerned kevin
While some fans might be concerned, clearly this post was just for fun and for whatever which still has not been announced, Gausman is in need of a flamethrower in the greater Toronto area.
Hopefully Gausman can keep this same attitude in the clubhouse as the Blue Jays need to stay lose and not focus too much on their brutal 15-1 loss from yesterday as they look to win the series against the Red Sox this afternoon.
