Trade offer announced between the Toronto Blue Jays and Colorado Rockies for all-star pitcher

The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking to find a solid starting pitcher to add to their rotation and it looks like they are interested in Colorado Rockies starting pitcher.
The Blue Jays starting rotation has been their biggest concern so far this season especially Bowden Francis who cannot seem to get out of this major slump that he has been in.
Blue Jays and Rockies could close trade for German Marquez
The biggest addition the Blue Jays could make prior to the trade deadline is adding a reliable starting pitcher which is why there has been reports that they could be interested in Rockies pitcher German Marquez.
According to reports, the Blue Jays could look to acquire Marquez as the Rockies are looking to move him prior to the deadline as he is currently struggling this season as his ERA currently sits at 6.62.
In a recent YouTube video, content creator Jim Riley predicted that the Blue Jays would trade for Rockies starter Germán Márquez, who is on an expiring contract with a $10 million salary this year. -Roberts
"They don't necessarily need to go and add to the top of the rotation... but you don't know how much you're going to get from (Scherzer), which adds to the reason to go out and get somebody like Germán Márquez, who can add depth to that rotation." -Riley
Marquez is definitely not the pitcher he once was but at the same time it is very hard to judge since he is on the Rockies who has been the worst team in baseball over the last few years.
While there is certainly some risk involved in going after Marquez, since he only makes $10 million per season and the Blue Jays could likely get the Rockies to retain some salary, this could be a low risk, high reward move.
Whether it is Marquez or another pitcher, it is clear that the Blue Jays need to find a replacement for Bowden Francis as he simply cannot find his game right now.
