The Philadelphia Phillies suffered a terrible loss when JT Realmuto was told he will need season ending knee surgery. They are in an emergency situation and are looking at Danny Jansen to be his suitable replacement as catcher.
Garrett Stubbs is the current back up to Realmuto, but his lack of offence is not going to be enough to fill the whole JT leaves behind. Stubbs is hitting only .173 this season but still is a competent play caller.

There have already been trade deadline rumors surrounding Danny Jansen, who's deal expires also at the end of this season, if they are going to deal him at anytime, it should be now as they have loads of leverage for how desperate the Phillies are.
