Alejandro Kirk is projected to dominate the diamond and give the Toronto Blue Jays another massive offensive weapon this year.

Everyone is already talking about Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and his massive new contract extension. We know Vladdy is the heart of the team.
But there is another cornerstone piece in this lineup who is quietly preparing for a historic season. The spotlight is shifting toward the man behind the plate.
The experts at MLB.com just released their projections, and they believe our favorite catcher is about to explode offensively. This is exactly what we want to hear.
Alejandro Kirk (Signed as an international free agent in 2016 by Toronto) is coming off the best performance of his life. The 27-year-old is entering his physical prime.
He crushed 15 home runs last year and earned his second career All-Star selection. His bat speed looked incredibly sharp during the entire postseason run.

Kirk is ready to carry the offensive load

Fans are absolutely thrilled to see him finally getting the national respect he deserves. We always knew he had an elite ceiling.
His offensive profile is a nightmare for opposing pitchers because he simply refuses to strike out. He works deep counts and forces mistakes.
He finished last season with a brilliant .282 batting average and a solid .769 OPS. He played 130 games of hard-fought baseball.
The slugger also drove in 76 runs, proving he can be a reliable clutch run producer in the middle of the order. The power is very real.
Toronto lost Bo Bichette this offseason, meaning we need veterans to step up and fill that massive void. The pressure is on, but Kirk thrives in those moments.
If he hits his projected ceiling, this Blue Jays lineup will be an absolute juggernaut from top to bottom. Opposing managers will have no easy outs to target.
His ability to frame pitches and manage the starting rotation already makes him indispensable on defense. He is the quiet general of the field.
He guided the staff through the pressure cooker of the playoffs all the way to the World Series. That kind of experience is priceless for a young star.
The road to another deep October run starts with a healthy and motivated superstar behind the plate. The entire city is ready to watch him rake.
