Vladimir Guerrero Jr makes blunt remarks about the Toronto Blue Jays stating why he did not sign an extension
Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr announced during a press conference this morning that he he did not sign an extension with the Blue Jays and made a few blunt remarks regarding the negotiations.
Following Guerrero's press conference, GM Ross Atkins spoke to the media contradicting what Guerrero said as in his eyes the two parties were close on a deal just not close enough.

Guerrero also stated that his goal is still to stay here in Toronto but at the end of the day he understands that it is a business and that might force him to look elsewhere since the Blue Jays do not want to offer him what he is looking for.

Guerrero said he didn't think a deal was close. Asked for his view of the gap, Atkins said: "What I can share is that we had a lot of dialogue, a lot of exchanges that felt constructive and productive. We learned a lot. We felt like they did as well. Went down to the wire."
Despite there still being a possibility of Guerrero returning to the Blue Jays in free agency next off-season, the way he is talking right now, it certainly does not look good.
