The Toronto Blue Jays announce this afternoon ahead of their game against the Boston Red Sox that outfielder Will Wagner is officially back with the team.
Blue Jays call up Will Wagner and option Alan Roden to the Buffalo Bisons
News just broke that outfielder Will Wagner has officially been called up from Triple-A and will be activate for today's game against the Red Sox while rookie Alan Roden has been sent back down to Triple-A.
ROSTER MOVES:
INF Will Wagner recalled from Triple-A and will be active today
Wagner was surprisingly sent down in April after a tough start to the season then went down with an injury in May which kept him out up until half way through June.
While Roden has struggled so far this season, many believe that he will have a similar path to Addison Barger who took some time to develop but is currently one of the Blue Jays best players.
I still think that Alan Roden's time eventually comes. The player that everyone in the #BlueJays org raved about for years is still there.
Addison Barger is a good comparison, even as a drastically different player. If the org believes in a guy, they should keep betting on them.
