The Blue Jays ended up splitting the series against the Orioles after a massive win yesterday.

Yusei Kikuchi had an unbelievable performance on the mound giving up 1 earned run, 4 hits and striking out 6 batters in 6 innings pitched.

After the game, Kikuchi spoke to reporters with a lot of optimism regarding the remainder of the Jays season saying they have been playing great baseball and if they can keep it up there is still 100 games left to turn things around.

“We're not in the position we want to be, but we've been grinding,” Kikuchi said after striking out six and picking up his first win since April 22. “Everyone is working really hard and we haven't given up. We have, like, 100 games left, that's still a lot of the season. Hopefully we can ride this momentum and keep winning.”

Despite a tough few starts for Kikuchi where he had great games but needed up with a loss due to the Jays lack of offense, the pitcher has not loss faith in his team which is a huge positive.

Hopefully the Blue Jays can rid this momentum and attain the 3 Wild Card spot before the end of the season.
