Before coming to the Toronto Blue Jays, Yusei Kikuchi and Daniel Vogelbach became very close friends while playing for the Seattle Mariners. Due to their such closes friendship, Kikuchi named his son after Vogelbach.
Maybe everyone else knew this but I did NOT until today. Yusei named his son Leo Daniel Kikuchi after Daniel Vogelbach.
It is quite the honor for a friend, let alone a teammate to name a child after you, and clearly Daniel Vogelbach has left an imprint on Kikuchi.

Fans have taken to Twitter to defend Vogelbach after not producing offensively. They are recognizing that he is a great teammate and a "room guy".
I've been awfully critical of that signing but if there ever was confirmation that a guy is "great in the room" that has to be it. - X(formally Twitter)
