Blue Jays looking to trade 3 players prior to MLB winter meetings according to report
According to reports the Blue Jays will look to move on from a few pieces of their current organization which includes George Spring, Charles McAdoo and Chris Bassitt.
Toronto is looking to make some big signings this winter which is why they need to make room on their payroll and consequently will likely push them to trade George Springer which will not be an easy task.
The Blue Jays are going to need to cut some of their payroll if they want to comfortably bring in Soto and extend Vladimir Guerrero Jr. These are the two biggest steps to Toronto's eventual World Series victory they're trying to pursue. But they can't do this with George Springer on their payroll as the highest-paid player. -Pressnell
Another player they need to move on from is pitcher Chris Bassitt who is entering the last year of his contract in 2025 and still has some solid trade value but most importantly, moving Bassitt would free up a spot in the rotation.
One of the players they could consider shipping off, both to take advantage of his value and to clear money for free agents, is the right-hander Chris Bassitt. Personally, I felt as though the Blue Jays should have traded him at the deadline last season, but they opted to hold onto him since he was under contract through 2025.-Pressnell
Finally there is prospect Charles McAdoo who had a great season in the minor league and as the Blue Jays look to bring in some top tier players through trades, they will need to possibly have to trade McAdoo.
