The Toronto Blue Jays have made it clear that they are looking for a starting pitcher and they seem to be quite interested in Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller.

The Blue Jays have been linked to Mitch Keller for a little while now as the Pirates are having another horrible season and will likely look to move him at the trade deadline.

4 player trade offer announce that would send Mitch Keller to the Blue Jays

The Blue Jays starting rotation cannot seem to stay healthy or consistent which is why they will be surely looking at a few options at the trade deadline and Keller could be involved in that deal.
The Toronto Blue Jays desperately need to acquire another arm at the MLB Trade Deadline. One arm that has had a lot of buzz around his name this year has been Pittsburgh Pirates right hander Mitch Keller. -Dionis

According to reports, if the Blue Jays were able to land Keller, they would likely need to send Joey Loperfido, Orelvis Martinez and Paxton Schultz back to Pittsburgh in return.
This package of Martinez, Loperfido, and Schultz may be able to land Keller. That would be a big hit to the 40 man roster, but to land Keller that is likely what it would cost.

Toronto could easily replace these guys though and it is definitely worth it. Ross Atkins, cook something like this up to stack this rotation. -Dionis

This is quite the return but would also be very worth it for Toronto since they desperately need a new starting pitcher to add to their rotation and adding someone with Keller's skill would make their a seriously dangerous rotation.
The biggest issue with trading away these three players would be losing Paxton Schultz who has been very solid for the Blue Jays this season and since they are having a lot of bullpen problems as well, they will need to replace him quickly.
Trading away Martinez and Loperfido for a player of Keller's caliber makes sense since they currently have a surplus of outfielders and do not have room for them on the roster.
Hopefully Ross Atkins is able to find a way to make the return smaller but if it ends up being this big, it is clearly worth it.
